Methodist Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    3 1/2 c. cake flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. or 2 sticks butter
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. white raisins, cooked until tender in 1/2 c. water
    1 c. milk
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; beat eggs and add to mixture.
    Sift baking powder with flour (flour raisins with small amount).
    Add flour and milk alternately to butter mixture.
    Stir in raisins and pecans.
    Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans and pour in batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
    Cool and spread filling between layers and on top.
