Surprise Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Put egg whites into a bowl;
add baking powder and beat until stiff.
Gradually
add
sugar,
beating
often for each addition. Mix
in
graham
cracker
crumbs, then add nuts and flavoring. Spread in
a
9-inch
glass
pie pan that has been generously greased.
Bake
at
325\u00b0
for
25
minutes or until lightly browned,
cool then spread with whipping cream on top. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
