Gourmet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. chopped green onions
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    8 medium potatoes, peeled and coarsely shredded
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Heat cheese and 1/2 cup butter in saucepan over low heat until partially melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
    Stir in sour cream, green onions, salt and pepper.
    Fold in potatoes. Spoon into greased 8-inch glass baking dish. Dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or microwave, covered, on High for 12 minutes.
