Tri-Color Pound Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. (4 sticks) margarine
4 c. sifted confectioners sugar
6 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
4 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
few drops of red food coloring
few drops of green food coloring

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Soften margarine; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Blend in extracts.
Combine flour and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until thoroughly combined.
Divide batter into thirds.
Add a few drops of red food coloring to 1/3 of the batter, a few drops of green food coloring to the second third, and leave remaining third as is.
Place alternating spoonfuls of batter into well-buttered and floured 12-cup Bundt cake pan or 10-inch tube pan.
Cut through batter with a knife.
Bake 65 to 70 minutes.
Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
Dust top of cake with confectioners sugar before serving.
