Overnight Cinnamon Rolls - cooking recipe

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 tsp. salt
1 slightly beaten egg
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Combine in a saucepan water, sugar and shortening.
Boil for 5 minutes; cool.
