Hawaiian Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. plain flour
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. sugar, browned
Preparation
    Mix flour and 2/3 cup sugar.
    Add pineapple, water and lemon juice.
    Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy.
    Add beaten eggs and butter.
    Cook all for 2 minutes. Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue made with stiffly beaten egg whites and 3 tablespoons of sugar, browned.
