Mock Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
2 egg whites, beaten well
pinch of salt
1 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla, lemon or almond extract

Preparation

Set milk in a pan of water and heat to boiling point. Sift together 3 times the flour, sugar and baking powder. Into this pour the boiling milk and stir until smooth. Then fold in the egg whites and the extract and salt. Pour into ungreased pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
