Cowboy Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1 small onion, grated
    12 to 14 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs and vegetable oil. Stir well.
    Stir in cheese, corn, onion, bacon and pimento.
    Pour into greased 9-inch square pan or 8-inch black iron skillet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Makes 8 or 9 servings.
