Snert (Dutch Pea Soup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 ham bone
    1 lb. split peas
    3 qt. water
    2 onions
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Soak peas overnight.
    Drain.
    Combine all ingredients.
    Cook for 30 minutes over medium heat, then simmer for 2 1/2 hours or until peas are tender.
