Fresh Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. fresh mushrooms
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/4 c. butter
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can beef consomme
    touch of sherry (optional)
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
Preparation
    Melt butter in soup pot.
    Add sliced mushrooms and onions to pot.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Add soup, undiluted.
    Add salt, pepper and garlic.
    Bring to boil, reduce to simmer and cook 25 minutes.
