Mama'S Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick softened butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
apples (optional)
carrots (optional)

Preparation

Pour water over oatmeal. Let set 20 minutes. Cream together brown sugar, butter and sugar. Add oatmeal, then add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes in 9 x 13 pan.
