Strawberry Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 box instant vanilla pudding
    1 c. whipping cream
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
    7 fresh strawberries
    16 oz. frozen strawberries
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Prepare pudding as directed.
    When cake is cool, cut in half, then eighths.
    Lay half of cake (8 pieces) in 2-quart serving bowl.
    Layer half of thawed strawberries, half pudding, then repeat.
    Chill 8 hours.
