Pork Chops And Apple Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops (1-inch thick)
    2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
    1 tsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    In skillet, brown pork chops quickly.
    Drain well.
    Arrange a layer of sliced apples in crock-pot, then a layer of pork chops; repeat.
    Dot with butter; sprinkle with nutmeg and salt and and pepper.
    Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 9 hours.
    Makes 4 servings (about 2 1/2 quarts).
