Russian Cream Makarova - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. whipping cream or half and half
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    fresh berries to serve
Preparation
    Blend sugar and gelatin; add water and mix well.
    Let stand 5 minutes, then bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
    Pour in sweet cream and stir.
    Mix sour cream with vanilla in medium size bowl.
    Gradually beat in hot mixture. Pour into mold, serving bowl or individual pot de cremes.
    Let cool.
    Cover and chill 4 hours or overnight.
    Unmold with care. Serve with fresh berries.
