Minted Fruit Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c sugar
    1 qt water
    Bunch of fresh mint leaves
    1 can (46 oz) pineapple juice
    1 can (46 oz) orange juice
    1/2 c fresh lemon juice
    1 tsp non-alcoholic creme de menthe syrup
    2 qt melon-lime carbonated beverage
    Lemon and lime slices
Preparation
    Cook sugar and water to boiling point.
    Pour over the mint leaves (10 or more leaves).
    Simmer for 10 minutes; strain and chill.
    Place block of ice in large punch bowl.
    Over ice pour mint syrup, pineapple juice, orange juice, creme de menthe and lemon juice; stir to mix.
    Just before serving, add carbonated beverage; stir lightly.
    Garnish with lemon and lime slices.
