Jerries Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening or oleo
    3 eggs
    2 c. dark brown sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 small pkg. chocolate chips (6 oz.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Melt shortening; pour over brown sugar and stir until blended.
    When cool, add eggs, one at a time and beat well after each one.
    Add dry mixture, nuts and chocolate chips.
    Pour in greased 10 1/2 x 13 1/2-inch pan.
    Bake for 25 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
