Hard Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
1 tsp. desired flavoring
food coloring
Preparation

Mix sugar, syrup and water in a large saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat. After boiling has ceased, stir in flavoring and coloring.
Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Cool; break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
Makes about 2 pounds.
