Golden Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. chopped green onions
    1 tsp. white pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in skins.
    Chill, peel and grate into large bowl.
    In medium saucepan over low heat, combine butter and cheese, stirring occasionally until almost melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Add sour cream, onions, salt and pepper.
    Pour over potatoes that have been placed in buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake for 45 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven. Serves 8.
