Fruited Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dried apricots, cut into strips
    2 c. long grain white rice,
    chicken broth
    1 c. wild rice
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 large apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
    1 large pear, peeled, cored and finely chopped
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. slivered toasted almonds
    cilantro (optional)
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook white rice, substituting chicken broth for water.
    Cook wild rice.
    Combine cooked rices.
    Saute onion, apple and pear in butter or margarine, just until soft, about 5 minutes.
    Stir in apricots and almonds; saute briefly.
    Toss rices, fruit mixture, cilantro, salt and pepper.
    Place in lightly buttered baking dish. Cover with foil.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 8.
