Pasta Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 medium-large onion, chopped
1 lb. sweet Italian sausage, casings removed and meat crumbled
salt to taste
pinch of dried thyme
1 lb. tube shaped pasta
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. heavy cream
1/4 lb. sliced mushrooms
4 cloves garlic, minced
pinch of nutmeg
1/4 c. white wine
28 oz. chopped canned tomatoes
pepper to taste
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan
Preparation

Saute onion in oil.
Add sausage; cook until brown.
Season with salt and thyme.
Add mushrooms, garlic and nutmeg; cook 3 to 4 minutes.
Drain fat.
Add wine; increase heat and reduce until nearly dry, stirring with wooden spoon.
Add tomatoes; reduce until thick, 4 to 5 minutes.
Add pepper and parsley; set aside. Boil pasta in salted water until nearly al dente.
Rinse under cold water.
