Wintertime Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
4 c. chicken stock
5 medium potatoes, chopped
2 Tbsp. chives
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. dill weed or celery seed
1 c. light cream
2 c. cabbage, shredded coarsely
Preparation

Melt butter in large soup pot.
Saute onion and celery in butter.
Cook potatoes and cabbage in chicken stock in separate pan.
Then add soup to soup pot.
Add spice and light cream; return to simmer.
Do not boil after adding cream.
Serves 6. Delicious with dark rye or wheat bread.
