Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    5 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 3/4 c. molasses (sorghum, if available)
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Prepare or secure pie shells.
    Make crumbs of brown sugar, flour and butter or margarine, then set aside.
    Pour boiling water over molasses and baking soda.
    Pour this into the unbaked pie shells and then put the crumbs in carefully.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes and then at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
    Makes 3 large (9-inch) and 1 small pies.
