Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
3/4 c. lukewarm water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon or orange extract
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat 3 egg yolks with water until bowl is full.
Add sugar gradually while still beating until it mounds.
Add vanilla and flavoring.
Add baking powder and salt to flour, then add a little at a time, to egg mixture.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
