Ripe Tomato Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped ripe tomatoes
    2 c. chopped bell peppers
    2 c. chopped onions
    1 gal. chopped cabbage
    3 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and cook until thick.
    Takes about 1 hour cooking time.
    Boil spices in bag so they can be thrown away after cooking.
    Vegetables may be chopped in food processor before cooking.
    Pour into twelve clean hot pint jars.
    Seal immediately with hot boiled lids and rings.
    Great with dried beans.
