Butter Pecan Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks (3/4 c.) butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Blend thoroughly.
    Pour equal amounts of batter into three 8-inch cake pans which have been lined with 2 layers of waxed paper.
    Bake in a moderate 375\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
