Asparagus With Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. fresh asparagus
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/3 c. butter or margarine
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine egg, butter, sugar and cornstarch in top of a double boiler.
Cook for 3 minutes, until mixture begins to thicken.
Add lemon juice.
Stir constantly an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
Pour over asparagus.
Sprinkle with lemon rind.
