Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 eggs
    6 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together flour and soda.
    Set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add dry ingredients and buttermilk alternately to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Then add vanilla, bananas and nuts, mixing thoroughly.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan or Bundt pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
