Heavenly Cloud Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/2 stick margarine
4 slices bread
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 can fruit pie filling
Preparation

Heat milk and margarine until margarine melts.
Set aside to cool slightly.
Break bread into small pieces; place in ungreased casserole or souffle dish.
Separate eggs.
Beat yolks until lemon colored.
Slowly add yolks to milk; add vanilla.
Pour over bread. Bake in pan half filled with water 55 to 60 minutes at 325\u00b0. While pudding is baking, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time and beat until stiff.
Remove pudding from oven.
Spread choice of fruit pie filling on top. Cover completely with meringue.
Return to oven until meringue is lightly brown.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
