"Vasilopita" - New Year'S Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
5 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. vanilla
1 c. almonds, blanched and chopped
Preparation

Separate eggs; beat whites until stiff and put aside.
Put butter and sugar together; beat until fluffy, 20 minutes.
Add yolks and continue mixing for 5 minutes.
Add whites, milk, flour, baking powder and almonds.
Mix well.
Pour in buttered 12-inch round pan.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
