Rich Pastry(Great With Strawberry Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg yolk
    water
Preparation
    Sift together flour and salt into mixing bowl.
    Cut in shortening (it will look like small peas).
    Combine egg yolk and water; add to dry ingredients while tossing and stirring lightly with fork.
    Add liquid to driest particles, pushing lumps to side until dough is just moist enough to hold together.
    Form a ball and flatten to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Roll out on floured surface to 1 1/2-inches larger than inverted pie pan.
    Fit into pie pan and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 425\u00b0 or until golden brown.
