Caramel Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 lb. oleo
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
6 qt. freshly popped popcorn
Preparation

In a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, combine ingredients (except soda and popped corn).
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil rapidly to hard ball stage (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat. Stir in soda quickly, but thoroughly; pour over popcorn at once in larger pan.
Stir until all kernels are coated.
Bake in oven for 1 hour at 200\u00b0, stirring every 20 minutes.
Turn out onto waxed paper; allow to cool.
Store in tightly covered container.
