Yellow Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. oil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    yellow food coloring
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. oil
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Mix 1 1/2 cups oil, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs.
    Beat until well blended.
    Add the soda with the buttermilk, alternating with the 2 cups flour.
    Mix well, then add the vanilla and a few drops of yellow food coloring.
    Pour this into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    While the cake is cooling, combine the remaining ingredients.
    Cook in a double boiler until thick. Spread on cake when the cake has cooled.
