Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. light cream
2 c. pecan halves
3/4 tsp. soda
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Combine sugar and soda in a deep 3-quart saucepan.
Mix well with a wooden spoon.
Then add cream.
Stir carefully to keep sugar crystals in lower part of pan.
All crystals should be dissolved when candy boils.
This helps make it smooth and creamy. `Bring
to boil on medium heat, stirring occasionally, to prevent scorching.
Cook candy until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
Remove pan from heat.
Add butter immediately.
Measure accurately.
Too much will prevent them from firming.
Add pecans and beat until mixture is thick enough to drop from a spoon.
Drop candy on wax paper or foil.
