Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
    2 onions, diced
    1 1/4 lb. asparagus, diced
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    4 slices cheese
Preparation
    In a large casserole dish, combine potatoes, onions and asparagus.
    Add milk.
    Dot with butter and salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Immediately before serving, lay cheese on top and let it melt slightly.
