Surprise Meringues - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1/4 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preparation

Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar and vanilla together until soft peaks form.
Add sugar gradually, beating until peaks are stiff.
Fold in chocolate bits and nuts.
Cover cookie sheet with plain paper.
Drop cookies on by rounded teaspoonfuls.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Cool; remove from paper.
