Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    5 Tbsp. flour
    1 pimiento
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/3 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. light cream
    2 c. cut-up cooked chicken (or canned)
Preparation
    Melt butter in large skillet; add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.
    Slowly stir in broth and cream; cook, stirring until thickened.
    Add the cut-up pimiento and heat well.
    Serve on toast or croissants. Serves 6.
