Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce (bite size pieces)
    1/2 c. thinly sliced green onions
    1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, thinly sliced
    1 pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 c. shredded Cheddar
    1/3 lb. crisp bacon, crumbled
    tomatoes
    hard-boiled eggs
    parsley
Preparation
    In large bowl, layer first 5 ingredients, beginning with lettuce and ending with peas.
    Mix together well the mayonnaise, sugar, seasoned salt and garlic powder.
    Spread all over the top of the salad.
    Cover bowl with plastic wrap.
    Refrigerate overnight.
