Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped fig preserves
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients; add oil and eggs and beat well. Add buttermilk and vanilla; mix well. Stir in figs and pecans. batter will be a little thin.
