Chicken With Rice (Arroz Con Pollo) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chicken
    3 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. oil
    2 oz. country ham, cut
    8 olives
    1/2 c. mix*
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    3 tsp. Adobo (seasoning mix)
    2 garlic cloves
    4 c. water
    3 1/2 c. rice
    3 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cut chicken and season it to taste with Adobo.
    Add ham with oil and fry for 3 minutes.
    Add garlic, tomato sauce, olives and oregano; fry for 2 minutes.
    Add 1 cup water; add chicken and cook for about 10 minutes.
    Stir once.
    Add rest of water and salt. When boiling, add rice and stir once.
    When it starts boiling again, turn to medium temperature until all water is absorbed. Stir rice, reduce to low temperature, cover it and cook rice for 20 minutes.
    Stir once again and cook for 15 minutes or until done.
