Candied Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 egg whites
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 lb. raw pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
    Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan in the oven.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Gradually beat in brown sugar.
    Gently fold in pecans.
    Pour into buttered pan, spreading evenly.
    Bake for 1 hour, turning every 10 minutes.
    Drain pecans on paper towels.
    Makes 2 cups.
