Cheesy Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) pkg. hash brown potatoes, thawed
    1 pt. sour cream
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 can creamy chicken mushroom soup (Campbell's)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1/2 c. chopped onion
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Top with 1 small can French fried onion rings or 2 cups corn flake crumbs.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
    This may be made ahead and frozen before baking.
