Flourless Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. instant coffee granules
3 eggs, lightly beaten
whipped topping (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Butter the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
Place a 12 x 12-inch sheet of waxed paper in the pie plate and butter the waxed paper.
In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, butter, sugar, water and coffee granules. Heat over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture is melted and smooth, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Stir in eggs until mixture is smooth.
Pour into pie plate.
Bake 10 minutes; the cake will not be completely set in the middle.
Cool. Cover loosely, then chill 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
