Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco shortening
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix soda and vanilla in buttermilk.
    In a separate bowl, cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix.
    Add flour and rest of ingredients with milk mixture.
    Put in a 9 x 13 or Bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.
    Do not ice, but sprinkle with powdered sugar.
