Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 green tomatoes
1/2 c. flour or corn meal
salt and pepper to taste
1/3 to 1/2 c. butter
Preparation

Season flour with salt and pepper.
Cut the tomatoes into thick slices and coat on both sides with seasoned flour or corn meal.
Melt butter in an iron skillet until it is sizzling hot, but do not let it brown.
Re-flour the tomatoes and place in skillet in one layer.
When golden brown, turn and brown the other side.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve immediately.
