Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. Karo syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt (not necessary)
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 lb. shelled and roasted peanuts
Preparation
    Boil Karo syrup, sugar, butter, water and salt, stirring constantly, until 250\u00b0.
    Immediately add nuts and boil until 300\u00b0. Quickly add soda and pour on greased slab.
