Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    3 c. cake flour
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift and measure flour.
    Add soda and salt and sift again.
    Add sour cream and flour alternately to the above mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into batter.
    Blend in flavorings and pour into a 10 x 4-inch tube pan. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
