Mock Lasagna Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. bulk sausage
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked and drained
1 1/2 c. cream-style cottage cheese
1 1/2 c. shredded American cheese
Preparation

In skillet, brown the meat; drain off fat.
Add tomato sauce, water, garlic salt, pepper and basil.
Cover; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In a 2-quart casserole, layer half each macaroni, cottage cheese, shredded cheese and meat sauce.
Repeat layers.
Bake, uncovered, in 375\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
