German Chocolate Ice Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 pkg. German chocolate (sweet)
    2 c. powdered sugar
    2/3 c. melted butter
    3 egg yolks (save whites)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites, beaten stiffly
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Crush wafers and mix with butter.
    Put in 9 x 13-inch pan. Save about 1/2 cup for top.
    Melt chocolate, sugar, butter and egg yolks.
    Cool.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Spread over crumb crust.
    Slice ice cream and fit into pan.
    Cover chocolate completely, then cover top with crumbs.
    Freeze for at least 4 hours.
    Cover with foil.
    Will keep several days.
