Ingredients

1 qt. strawberries
2 Tbsp. Kirsch
juice of 1/4 lemon
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine sugar, water, vanilla and juice; boil.
Hull and wash strawberries.
When sugar mixture is thick, add strawberries and remove from heat.
Add Kirsch and cover 10 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
