Mother'S Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can sliced pineapple
    1 1/3 c. flour (plain)
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. soft shortening
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Add shortening, milk and flavoring.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Add egg.
    Beat 2 minutes.
    Pour over pineapple.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes.
    Immediately turn out upside down on a plate.
    Serve warm.
